Very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities are great, pool is actually warm and enjoyable to swim in. Sauna and steam room are always hot and never busy. Breakfast is very good, and hard to resist! The food in the bar is good, but the steaks in the restaurant are excellent, highly recommended with a glass of Merlot.

Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado.

Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado. I was drawn more to the architecture and history as well as the walks along the canal. Also, theater is great, of course. We were unable to see a Shakespeare play, but instead saw "English" at the Royal Shakespeare Company's newest venue "The Other Place", a facility established by the RSC after a top staffer shook things up a bit in 2016 and suggested being more relevant

    Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town.

Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town. There are lots of green spaces offering respite from the lovely shopping areas. Eating out is a treat. We're vegan and had lots of choice. The Plantarium cafe is a must visit. Lots of reference to the history of Stratford and its connection to Shakespeare add to the charm. We only went for a short break but it's somewhere we'd definitely go back to.

Lovely place to spend a weekend, the river and canal basin area are very pretty, loads of really good restaurants, places to stay and things to do. The Shakespeare birthday celebrations/parade is great (mid April). We did the marathon there and that's a great event if you are keen on running.

Stratford upon Avon is great for a short trip and easy to get to from London or anywhere from the Midlands. Particularly nice in spring. There are options for boat hires along the river, or go on a boating trip with someone else steering. Lots of little shops to explore. The big draw is the RSC. So nice to take in a play there with a pre-theatre dinner and explore the town.

Our stay at Baraset Barn Hotel was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were above our expectations. It was delicious and the best meals we've had out for a long while. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean with great views over the fields. We said hello to some lovely sheep haha! 🐑 This is certainly a hotel we are keeping noted for when we are back around Stratford upon Avon as I would definitely stop here again. Best hotel by far I've stayed in.

Our whole stay was flawless. The B&B is run by a family, both mum Philippa and son Philip were amazing from the beginning. They catered to our requests without any hesitation and made our two days stay a very pleasant one. A quiet countryside which is less than 10 minutes from the centre of Stratford upon Avon, is a perfect place to stay while visiting the town. There are also beautiful pathways and river walk just at the doorstep. Highly recommended!

Bill was a wonderful host in so many ways. From the nice greeting and welcome to the ride to the train station in the morning, with a quick tour of Stratford Upon Avon. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious along with a very nice conversation with Bill; who is a wealth of knowledge about the area and Uncle Willie (Shakespeare).I had an amazing time at Moss Cottage.

The hotel was ok it looked a little tired and in need of some financial investment. It had good facilities ie Spa and Golf both of which we did not use. We were attending a wedding locally and was unable to secure an early check in, so by the time we arrived back to the hotel (11.30) it was really too late to be able to change rooms even if one was available.

The staff were amazing from checking in to checking out. The housekeeping girl "Ola" very polite and courteous. The breakfast staff "Krasi and Luiza" very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely and fresh! We'll be making several trips this year to Stratford upon Avon, and this will be our first choice of hotel.

Excellent location with or without own transport. You don't need a car in Stratford upon Avon as all the sights are within easy walking distance from the hotel. Due to the rail strike we had to take the car and the hotel provided us with car parking at short notice.
